What We’re Looking For

• At Output Sports we make elite level sports-science simple and scalable. We have shrunk the sports-science laboratory into a tiny wearable system, revolutionising how athletes and coaches test, track and optimise their performance.
• Output Sports is experiencing unprecedented growth, boasting a remarkable 50% quarter-on-quarter expansion. Our footprint extends across iconic leagues such as the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and MLS, and we are proud partners with colleges across all divisions and cutting-edge performance facilities around the world. Output is now tracking over a million exercise repetitions month on month.
• We are looking for an ambitious front-end engineer to join our growing team. The candidate will work as part of our growing engineering team to build and ship the next generation of sports technology.
  
  
  

Responsibilities

• You’ll work alongside our lead front-end engineer and the wider product team to build and iterate on the Output Hub.
• You’ll have ownership of each feature you deliver, and have a large influence on the development of future features.
• The role will touch on all elements of the development lifecycle including user research, feature validation, design, development, testing and deployment.
  
  
  

Your profile

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of JavaScript experience, with React being preferred.
• Ability to create clean, testable code with a solid understanding of unit testing applications and frameworks.
• Demonstrable experience of creating great user experiences for users.
• Previous Experience with Firebase & GCP is a positive as well as experience working on NodeJS backend applications.
• Experience with Typescript is helpful but not required.
• Excellent problem solving abilities and a desire to continuously evolve your technical skills.
• Great written and oral communication with a desire to collaborate within the tech team, across the company and with our end users.

Output originated from an interdisciplinary collaboration between a physiotherapist and an electronic engineer in a Data Analytics research centre in University College Dublin, Ireland. Having launched in early 2020, we now work with over 500 clients globally including Premier League, MLB, NHL, NCAA, Champions League, International Rugby and Olympic sporting setups. Backed by some of Ireland’s best investors, we are building a diverse team of world-class engineers, sports scientists and commercial staff around the world to bring our product to the global market.
