Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team, focusing on expanding our presence within enterprise accounts. This role is ideal for individuals who, while not necessarily coming from a software engineering or IT background, possess a strong capacity to immerse themselves in technical subjects and develop deep industry knowledge.

We are looking for someone who gets excited about finding and winning new business. Someone who has no problem logging 50+ cold outreaches a day and dozens of emails knowing they’ll be adding significant value to the business and will be incentivised when they achieve success!

Oblivious is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge privacy and security tools designed to empower data science within large enterprises. Our customers are typically the data and technology teams in the financial services industry. We are seeing increasing interest from pharma, insurance, healthcare, data driven technology and related industries. Our mission is to provide robust, innovative solutions that safeguard sensitive data and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Account Development: Identify and engage with potential enterprise clients across our targeted industries, understanding their unique needs and how our solutions can address them.
  • Sales and Funnel Management: Generate qualified leads, managing and nurturing leads through the sales funnel with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Rapidly acquire a thorough understanding of our privacy and security tools, staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements to effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Market Research: Conduct detailed prospect research and market analysis to identify new opportunities and understand industry-specific challenges.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, demonstrating a consultative approach to solving their challenges.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the product, marketing, and engineering teams to relay client feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of our offerings.
  • Learning and Development: Commit to ongoing learning and development, both in terms of industry knowledge and professional skills, to enhance performance and contribute to the company's growth.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a preference for candidates who have worked with enterprise accounts.
  • Demonstrable ability to grasp technical concepts quickly and communicate them effectively to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry or any of our other target industries, with a keen interest in privacy, security, and data science.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organisation.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of working under pressure to meet recurring deliverables.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A technical background is not a strict requirement but is advantageous.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses
  • Health insurance and pension plan
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Dynamic and supportive work environment
  • Flexible working hours with the option for remote work
  • Opportunities for international travel
