Parasitology Research Associate

Micron Agritech is on a mission to transform how animal health diagnostics are delivered - enabling faster, data-driven decisions through on-site parasite testing and AI-powered insights. We’re expanding our R&D team and are looking for a Parasitology Research Associate to help us develop the next generation of diagnostic tools for fluke, worms, and other parasitic infections in animals.

This is a hands-on scientific role at the heart of product innovation, ideally suited to a recent MSc graduate or early-career researcher with experience in parasitology, veterinary diagnostics, or related life sciences.

🧪 What You’ll Do

Research & Development

  • Support the design, testing, and validation of new parasite diagnostics for livestock, equine, and companion animals.
  • Conduct microscopic analysis, fecal egg count reduction testing (FECRT), and other parasitological techniques.
  • Work closely with the R&D Director and Product Engineers to translate lab research into field-ready tools.

Data & Documentation

  • Record and analyse sample results and experimental data using statistical and scientific tools.
  • Contribute to validation studies, peer-reviewed publications, and regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain rigorous lab records and adhere to quality assurance protocols.

Collaboration

  • Coordinate with vets, universities, and trial partners to collect and process clinical samples.
  • Provide scientific insight to product, software, and commercial teams to support product refinement and user education.

🎓 What You Bring

  • A BSc or MSc in Parasitology, Veterinary Science, Animal Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with fecal egg count techniques and parasitological diagnostics.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude, with a passion for applying science to real-world challenges.
  • Bonus: Experience working in a start-up/industry R&D setting.

🌍 Why Join Micron
