The position is based in Munich and reporting to the Systems Engineering Lead. It is a hybrid role, with 4 days required on site. The Advanced Systems Engineer is responsible for assisting with requirements management and integration activities / testing for the various on-going projects at Luma Vision. This will involve collaboration with the broader team to solicit User & Business needs associated with any development efforts linked to an unmet clinical need. It will also require close work with the R&D team to facilitate the generation of the system and sub-system requirements that stem from the business and user needs. In line with the design controls process, the person in this role will then be involved in the development and execution of test plans and protocols to determine if the design output satisfies the design input.
Your role will be
- Assist in the creation and management of design input (User Needs, Business Needs, System Requirements & Sub-system Requirements)
- Assist in defining and capturing the process of design for the system
- Maintain requirements tracing & hierarchy for active Device History Folders
- Develop and document system integration test cases
- Develop test method validations
- Execute system integration tests and create reports
- Understand and trouble shoot the function of the system
- Review project documentation as it relates to systems specific content
- Provide support to external agency testing
- Assist in the provision of content for regulatory filings
What you offer
| · A Bachelor’s Degree in some form of Medical Engineering/Physics · At least 2 years of experience working for a healthcare/medical device company |
| · Have a knowledge of Design Controls |
| · Experience working within a Quality Management System |
| · Experience creating requirements |
| · Experience creating test protocols and test reports |
| · Familiarity with working with complex systems |
| · Experience writing scripts in Python |
| · Have a knowledge of the use of electrical test equipment |
| · Have a knowledge of imaging systems |
| · Have a knowledge of ultrasound imaging · A hands-on mindset with problem-solving skills and great attention to detail also while multitasking. · Be able to work as part of a team · Be comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization · Be comfortable communicating cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory & Clinical departments · Be able to present concepts, data and work to a broad company audience · Be able to work independently · Mentor more junior engineers
