Junior/medior Digital Design Engineer

We are looking for a junior or medior digital design engineer to join the digital team at the audio product line at Axign-MPS.
As part of this team, you will primarily participate in the development and verification of controller ICs for audio amplifiers, which contain a large variety of digital building blocks, ranging from interfaces and filters in dedicated hardware to MCUs and DSPs.

You should have some experience in digital design & verification for digital FPGAs/ASICs (either as prior working experience or via courses or internships). Other key skills include documentation, RTL design and tool/infrastructure knowledge, experience with Python and preferably CoCoTb.

Besides working for audio ICs, at MPS there is plenty of opportunity to grow and also work on other ICs, which include: switching regulators, sensors, motor control, display drivers and power management ICs for fast-growing portable and non-portable markets such as broadband modems, notebooks, cell phones, telecom, fiber optics, digital camera, automobile and network equipment.

Activities/Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Digital Design (RTL design): ASIC or FPGA implementation
• Digital Verification: Develop test benches and automated test cases
• Run synthesis and evaluate results
• Create scripting to support design and verification automation

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of ASIC development process and digital design techniques
• Experience in standard design languages (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog)
• Affinity for, or experience with, Continuous integration and testing
• Knowledge of version control systems like git
• Experience with programming, scripting and automation languages like C/C++, shell, Make, TCL or Python.
• Knowledge & Use of Digital Simulators and ASIC/FPGA synthesis tools.
• Affinity for, or experience with, signal processing and Matlab.

Requirements:
Academic Education: PhD/MS/BSc in Electrical Engineering (with emphasis in Digital Design/VLSI coursework).
Language Skills: English – Fluent
Others: Good written/verbal communication skills and strong teamwork/collaboration.
