Medior / Senior embedded Software engineer

An experienced Embedded Software Engineer, who has designed and implemented on various µcontroller based embedded systems and is excited to work within the world of innovative audio systems.

As part of the Agile software team at Axign you will participate in the development of embedded software supporting our audio solutions, ranging from bare metal up to higher level embedded software enabling our Digital Audio and Amplifier Controllers.

You should have a strong embedded µcontroller software foundation with knowledge of, Real Time software development, RTOS concepts, continuous integration, and Git version management.
Working at Axign is done in strong collaboration with multiple disciplines, ranging from application engineers to digital and analog designers.

Activities/Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Work in a Team of skilled embedded software engineers and contribute towards various following product goals.
• Implement embedded Software architecture and designs.
• Verify and test your own work and implement testing into our CI/CD framework
• Develop drivers and features to a firmware and ROM stack
• Develop application libraries and firmware for software development board and modules
• Contribute to our work Agile workflow

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in C/C++, and/Python.
• Experience with embedded solutions using microprocessors,
  Linux, and RTOS concepts
• Understanding of embedded software design methodologies on µcontroller based platforms
• Experience in version management (Git), test driven development, continuous integration (Gitlab/Jenkins)
• Having knowledge on the following would be beneficial:
  • Static code analysis
  • Code coverage
  • Agile methodologies
  • Embedded Linux
  • Safe programing
  • Audio signal processing
  • Automotive software development

Requirements:
Academic Education: BS/MS in computer science, embedded engineering or related.
Previous Professional Experience: 5+ years’ experience in embedded software development or related fields.
Language Skills: English – Fluent & Dutch – plus but not required
Others: Good written/verbal communication skills and strong teamwork/collaboration. Be analytical, pragmatic, and self-motivated.
