Junior analog/mixed-signal design engineer

MPS is looking for a junior analog/mixed signal design engineer to join the audio product line. In this role, you will actively work with the MPS Enschede design team on complex mixed-signal audio and amplifier IP and full custom audio ICs for the consumer and automotive audio markets. These include but are not limited to controller ICs and class-D amplifiers.

Activities/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Design, layout, simulate and test analog/mixed-signal CMOS IP blocks.
  • Document and present verification and validation results and design reviews.
  • Work together with different disciplines, such as digital design teams, QTPE, and application/customer support teams.
  • Estimate and manage time/tasks completion to target schedule.

Technical Skills:

  • BSc or Msc in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using EDA tools like Cadence or similar for circuit simulation and layout.
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal test equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor physics and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work with programming and scripting languages such as MATLAB, Python, or similar is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements:
Academic Education: BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering
Previous Professional Experience: University/Internship experience in analog or analog / mixed-signal design
Language Skills: English – Fluent & Dutch fluency a plus
Others: Good written/verbal communication skills and strong teamwork/collaboration.
